Hadiah grand final Sabah Idol 2012 semakin 'mewah'

STAR Cruises (HK) Limited and Travelers International Hotel Group have officially come on board as one of the main sponsors of the Sabah Idol Grand Finals which will be held in the middle of December in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

The first prize winner will get a sponsorship of a two nights’ cruise (Singapore-Melaka-Port Klang-Singapore) for two pax on SuperStar Virgo worth RM4,500.

The second prize winner would also win a two nights’ cruise (Sanya-Halong Bay-Sanya) for two pax on SuperStar Aquarius worth RM3,000, while third to fifth prize winners would get a two-night stay in Manila Remington Hotel for two pax inclusive of breakfast worth RM750.

Meanwhile AirWorld Travel & Tours Sdn Bhd has also come in as a sponsor of the Sabah Idol series.

Its Executive Director Jacky Liaw announced that AirWorld Travel & Tours would be sponsoring the top five winners with RM500 worth of vouchers each which can be used in AirWorld travel to Hong Kong and return.

According to singer Peter Dicky Lee the organiser and Managing Director of Borneo Events Production, the champion of the Sabah Grand Finals stands to win more than RM10,000 in cash and kind.

The other top four winners would also bring home attractive prizes in cash and sponsored gifts plus holiday packages to Pulau Tiga sponsored by Pulau Tiga Resort Sdn Bhd.

The Sabah Grand Finals to be officiated by Youth and Sports Minister Datuk Peter Pang would pit 25 finalists from all over the State for the coveted title of the first Sabah Idol and a recording contract with an Indonesian recording studio based in Tawau called Taiko Media Sdn Bhd.

Its Managing Director Kurniadi. S said the album would be extensively marketed in the Asian region particularly in the Indonesian and Malaysian market.

Meanwhile, Peter’s next project is the Borneo Idol series, which would include top participants from the Borneo states of Sabah, Sarawak, Brunei and Kalimantan.
