TWENTY eager and highly energetic finalists will take to the stage on Sunday, 7 October, 2012 and fight it out for the two slots to earn the right to represent Kudat district in the Kudat Sabah Idol finals at the Dewan Tun Mustapha starting at 2 pm.
The audition on Saturday attracted more than 60 enthusiastic applicants who sang and danced their guts out in front of a professional jury which comprised of legendary singer Peter Dicky Lee, dangdut queen Juraidah Gaus, recording artiste Rozza Rothman and Kudat recording artiste S.Welly.
Watched by a packed audience, the boisterous crowd clapped and cheered their favourite contestants which made the atmosphere at the hall more like a grand final rather than just an audition.
And like the previous finals in Kota Kinabalu, Sandakan, Lahad Datu, Tawau and Kuala Penyu the judges are going to have a hard time selecting the top 2 winners to represent the Kudat district at the grand state finals to be held at the state capital 15th December 2012.
Held for the first time in Kudat, the finals tonight will be graced by Kudat assemblyman Datuk Teo Chee Kang who also sponsored the event.
